Cendrillon live from Glyndebourne on 30 June and on demand
The 2019 Glyndebourne Festival production of Massenet's Cendrillon will be broadcast live in cinemas and online on Sunday 30 June.
Cendrillon, one of the greatest operatic fairy tales, is appearing at the Glyndebourne Festival for the first time in a thoughtful contemporary updating originally conceived and directed by Fiona Shaw for the Glyndebourne Tour. John Wilson conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra and a cast led by Danielle de Niese as Cendrillon and Kate Lindsey as Prince Charming.
The opera will be available to watch for free online on the Glyndebourne website on 30 June at 17:30. It will also be available on demand for seven days following the live broadcast.
