Brahms’ No. 3 live from the Konzerthaus Berlin
28 FEB 2020: Live on Konzerthaus.de, Facebook, and YouTube – Christoph Eschenbach and the Konzerthausorchester with Brahms’ Symphony No. 3.
During his current debut season as chief conductor of the Berlin Konzerthaus Orchestra, Christoph Eschenbach conducts all of Johannes Brahms’ symphonies. The second concert of the cycle, Symphony No. 3 will be performed on 28 February 2020.
Brahms played the piece on the piano before the world premiere to his friend Antonín Dvorák who was enthusiastic and very touched: “There’s a mood in it that you don’t often find at Brahms! What wonderful melodies can be found there! It is pure love and your heart opens up.”
