Avishai Cohen: „Ashes to Gold“ – Live in Paris
As part of ECM Explorations series, Avishai Cohen is joined by his band for an unmissable concert from a jazz master at the Philharmonie de Paris.
In this concert filmed as part of ECM Explorations series at the Philharmonie de Paris in April 2025, Avishai Cohen is joined by his band for set built around Ashes to Gold, his deeply personal response to the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 and its aftermath in the region – released by ECM a year later and now presented live. It is preceded here by Will I Die, Miss? Will I Die from his 2017 Album Cross My Palm With Silver and followed by his haunting arrangement of the slow movement from Ravel's Piano Concerto. An unmissable concert from a jazz master playing music that goes straight to the heart.
