In the light of our commitment to providing broad access to the performing arts for everyone, the IMZ is happy to once again have contributed to some rousing Music Film Festivals this summer. The Film Festivals were free of charge and took place in a chill atmosphere in public, inviting also non-traditional audiences to overcome barriers to attend and enjoy the performing arts.

The largest festival of its kind with 250.000 visitors, the Film Festival at the Vienna Rathausplatz (AT) kicked off on 3 July with a live concert by the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Vienna. The programme featured an eclectic selection of music + dance films for a total amount of 65 days, accompanied by a food mile in front of the big screen, providing food + beverages.

Inspired by the Film Festival at Vienna Rathausplatz, the Vienna Music Film Festival in Yekaterinburg (RU) went into its 14th edition this year, taking place from 1 until 24 July. The festival counted established cultural film lovers and an impressive number of newcomers to the audience.

The IMZ looks back proudly on this year's lively festival season and a big thanks to all our partners, who are hopefully just as satisfied. We look forward to a great 2022!
