Young Euro Classic: Europe’s Sounds of the Future
Uniting youth orchestras worldwide in Berlin & celebrating Europe’s talent in classical music
Under the motto “Tomorrow’s Musicians Today!”, young musicians from around the world bring their talent to the Konzerthaus Berlin. The festival is the world’s most important platform for young orchestra musicians in the European classic music tradition – always with an open ear for resounding cultures beyond Europe. This year’s focus is on Europe as part of a musically rich world, and on the European idea of freedom, equality & solidarity!
Five concerts will be recorded, and a 60' highlight version will be produced. For further information, please contact the EuroArts team.
The National Youth Orchestra of Romania opens the festival with two women in leading musical positions - rising stars Katharina Wincor on the conductor's podium and Ioana Cristina Goicea on the violin. After a long break, the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland returns to Berlin - this time with chief conductor Catherine Larsen-Maguire. We are also looking forward to youth orchestras from Spain and Armenia.
