Submissions Now Open for the Austrian Jazz Awards 2025
Reestablished in 2024, the Austrian Jazz Awards celebrate exceptional talent within Austria’s jazz scene. To be considered for this year's awards, artist are required to submit their work by 25 August.
All musicians who have released a publication from 26 August 2024 and 25 August 2025, are eligible to apply for one or more award categories. The categories include: Newcomer 2025, Album 2025, Live Act 2025. Additionally, the Jury will independently decide the winner of the 2025 "High Impact Award".
Submitting artist or projects are automatically granted membership in the “Academy,” which selects a shortlist from all submissions. Each Academy member can select five acts per category, one of which can be a project they have submitted themselves.
The ten acts with the most votes are selected as nominees. A seven-member jury, which includes the 2024 winners, then makes the final decision on the winners.
The winners will be honored at a gala ceremony on 26 November at the Casinosaal in Velden am Wörthersee.
