Cantata for Prince Alois I. von Liechtenstein
28. August, 2022, 11:00
Vaduzer Saal, Vaduz, Liechtenstein
Even after over two centuries, a composer as prolific as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart still holds surprises: a recently discovered, never before performed work by the maestro will make its debut at the prestigious Vaduz Classic Festival in Liechtenstein this summer.
Discovered by Austrian conductor and composer Heinz Prammer during a research project in 2019, the Cantata for Prince Alois I. von Liechtenstein (KV Anh. 242) is the only work in the Köchel catalogue to have thus far never been played in public. Prammer himself will have the honour of conducting the Sinfonieorchester Liechtenstein alongside the Philharmonia Chor Wien and soloists Slávka Zámečníková and Mario Zeffiri for its maiden performance, closing out Vaduz Classic in spectacular fashion.
