This was the online IMZ Flying Academy on higher music education
This online IMZ Flying Academy “Fostering digital creativity and innovation in the performing arts” took place this June, preparing students effectively for the challenges + opportunities in the digital realm.
With its body of experience and contacts, the IMZ Flying Academy aims at training conservatoires + arts universities to implement digital into their syllabus. The goal is to prepare students effectively for the challenges + opportunities presented by the digital world.
For a first internal pilot, 12 students from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Royal Conservatoire of The Hague + the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, and 5 experts met online on 1+2 June. The programme included keynote speeches and lectures on Digital in the Performing Arts as well as a workshop challenge and speed dating sessions to pitch ongoing projects and gain valuable feedback on the spot.
The IMZ wants to thank all motivated participants from the Music Royal Conservatoire of The Hague and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and all experts from the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, the Association of European Conservatoires, ARTE and Violinist Yury Revich for sharing their valuable insights on the latest developments in the field!
Finally, we want to thank our partners from Stadt Wien Kultur, the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport and Creative Europe for the valuable support!
