"Where do we come from? Where are we going?" These are the questions posed by the 48th Innsbruck Festival of Early Music in 2024. From 21 July to 30 August, the festival will resonate throughout the city of Innsbruck with over 50 events. The new Artistic Director, Eva-Maria Sens, and the new Musical Director, Ottavio Dantone, have curated an exceptional program. Alongside well-established traditions, there are also new formats to discover. The remarkable Accademia Bizantina joins as the new "orchestra in residence."

At the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music 2024, attendees will embark on musical explorations, delve into Greco-Roman mythology, cast their gaze southward, explore Bach's œuvre, and bring extraordinary musical machines to life. In addition to staged performances of operas such as Geminiano Giacomelli's "Cesare", Georg Friedrich Händel's "Arianna in Creta" and Christoph Graupner's "Dido" there will be numerous concerts, musical performances in public spaces, and much more.

Ottavio Dantone, Jakub Józef Orliński, Leila Schayegh, Jean Rondeau, Elina Albach, Stefan Temmingh, Arianna Vendittelli, Filippo Mineccia, Sophie Rennert, Andreas Wolf, Robin Johannsen, Luigi De Donato, Margret Koell, Jörg Halubek, Andrea Marcon, Masaaki Suzuki, Bach Collegium Japan, Il Pomo d’Oro, La Cetra Barockorchester, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, ...

Tickets will be available from Monday, 11 December, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
