The concert is a reconstruction dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the North American premiere of Shchedryk by Mykola Leontovych.

The concert was performed by the Academic Choral Chapel of the Ukrainian Radio directed by the conductor Yulia Tkach. It was held at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and featured well-known Ukrainian folk and original songs. The concept of the concert is a reconstruction, literally song by song, in its first section. These are the songs that were performed on the stage of Carnegie Hall a century ago. Just during that concert Shchedryk was performed for the first time in the United States.

Also the song ‘Oi rano, rano kury zapily’ (‘Oh early, early hens have crowed’) is performed. The concert-reconstruction takes academic and choral art to a whole other level.
