Inspired by a well-known Chinese tale, La Fresque is the critically acclaimed production from Ballet Preljocaj and their multi award-winning choreographer and director Angelin Preljocaj. Featuring music by Nicolas Godin (one half of the celebrated music duo Air), costumes by the legendary designer Azzedine Alaïa, and set design and projections by Constance Guisset, this performance from 2017 shows contemporary dance at its most thought-provoking and engaging. Principal dancers Yurié Tsugawa and Jean-Charles Jousni steal the show in this outstanding production.

La Fresque has been admired for its ‘breath-taking scenes’ (La Terrasse) and its ‘dark and splendid beauty’ (L’Humanité) and is selected in the official section of the 37th International Festival of Films on Art 2019 (FIFA). A behind-the-scenes documentary is included as a bonus.
