Four different versions of Wagner’s masterpiece “Die Walküre” is available on-demand on fidelio. They range from legendary Bayreuth Festival productions by Patrice Chéreau and conducted by Pierre Boulez in 1980 to one from 1992 with Daniel Barenboim to a more recent Salzburg Easter Festival “Walküre” from 2007 with Christian Thielemann, Peter Seiffert and Anja Harteros directed by Vera Nemirova.
Furthermore, you can watch the brilliant documentary “The World of the Ring 2 – Die Walküre” that offers brilliant insights into the opera with Wagner experts Udo Bermbach, Dieter Borchmeyer, Laurence Dreyfus, Friedrich Dieckmann and Stephan Mösch.
