What a Grand Time on the Sunny Side of the Doc!
The IMZ network was well represented this year at the global marketplace for documentaries in La Rochelle, France.
A major international trade fair, Sunny Side of the Doc in picturesque La Rochelle, France draws thousands of industry insiders annually, enabling numerous documentary projects telling amazing stories by facilitating coproductions and cofinancing.
The IMZ was on site once again this year, maintaining a presence with a centrally- located stand alongside Content.Agent, the digital B2B marketplace for film licenses!
In addition, we also contributed a panel discussion on arts + culture streaming and sponsored a special prize for the arts + culture pitches: This year, the IMZ award went to Celtic Utopia, a music documentary directed by Dennis Harvey + Lars Lovén and produced by MDEMC that is currently in development. An exploration of contemporary Irish identity via local musicians who seek to reshape their culture, the production team won three tickets to next year’s Avant Première Music + Media Market in Berlin!
As always, the IMZ was happy to represent its members and industry; a big Thank You to Sunny Side of the Doc for another amazing cooperation, and to all experts who gave their time! We can’t wait to return to La Rochelle for next year’s edition!
