Dance Film SF and award-winning director Adi Halfin invite industry professionals to a two-day virtual masterclass exploring the craft of dance filmmaking, accessible to participants across time zones and offered on a European-friendly schedule.

With work that has been presented at Cannes, Berlinale, and festivals worldwide, Halfin brings a distinctive perspective to the masterclass, drawing from years of dance filmmaking experience. This intensive workshop provides insight into her working methods, focusing on intention, intuition, and the tools that transform movement into cinematic storytelling.

Through close viewing of music videos, documentaries, experimental films, and commercials, participants will examine how filmmaking language shapes the audience's experience of dance on screen. The experience is designed for professionals who work at the intersection of dance and film: programmers, directors, producers, and curators who want a deeper understanding of what makes dance films work.
