New Year’s Eve Concert from the Semperoper Dresden
The Staatskapelle and Christian Thielemann will present a bouquet of cheerful melodies and Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with Nikolaj Znaider.
Following tradition, the New Year’s Eve Concert of the Staatskapelle Dresden will provide Dresden concertgoers as well as TV viewers around the world with musical fireworks to mark the turn of the year. In the festive Semperoper Dresden the Staatskapelle and Principal Conductor Christian Thielemann will present a bouquet of cheerful melodies outside the standard symphonic repertoire as well as Bruch’s radiant Violin Concerto No. 1, in which soloist Nikolaj Znaider will have the opportunity to show off his effortless technical command and exquisite playing.
