Maria Theresia - The Musical

The Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW) will present another highlight in the coming season: Artistic director Christian Struppeck and his creative team will bring a brand new VBW in-house production, Maria Theresia - Das Musical, to the stage of the Ronacher in October 2025. This epic work tells the fascinating story and legacy of one of the most influential monarchs of the 18th century – a vivid portrait of power, passion and historical change. The opulent musical combines monumental drama with modern sound, pulsating beats with haunting lyrics.

Currently the latest VBW in-house production Rock Me Amadeus – Das Falco Musical and Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera are running at the Ronacher and Raimund Theater.

Rock Me Amadeus – Das Falco Musical is a homage to the exceptional Austrian artist and pays tribute to Falco as an artist and person. The production impresses with a stunning stage show, rousing choreography, an elaborate stage set, dazzling costumes – and of course Falco's unforgettable music.

The famous musical The Phantom of the Opera tells the popular story of the Phantom, who lives in the eerie catacombs of the Paris Opera, and his great love for the young singer Christine Daaé. The audience will experience an extraordinary musical evening full of great emotions, undying love and gripping passion!
