Manuel de Falla is best known for his orchestral and operatic music, but he also left significant traces in his piano works. Falla's piano works are characterised by their melodic richness, the use of Spanish rhythms and his ability to evoke landscapes and emotions through music. His style is a fusion of the classical tradition with the folk music of his homeland, which gives him an unmistakable stamp.

The Andalusian pianist Javier Perianes plays works by De Falla on the piano in the breathtaking surroundings of the Alhambra. During the 60-minute programme, he also acts as presenter, explaining to the audience the importance of the great Andalusian composer's music in the different rooms and gardens of this emblematic monument, a true ambassador of Spanish music to the world.
