The Venice TV Awards honour exciting film productions featuring incredible performances in opera, theatre, classical music, ballet, contemporary dance, and documentaries as works of art in their own right. New and exciting content helps audiences broaden their horizons and deepen – or even discover – their love of the performing arts.

Taking place two weeks after the world-renowned Film Festival, international jurors will meet in Venice to bring national and international recognition for quality content. Celebrating the masterpieces of TV.

Supported by the IMZ (International Music + Media Centre), egta and ACT (Association of Commercial TV), gold medals and nominations will be given in 19 categories. In addition to Performing Arts (Music, Theatre, Dance), the Venice TV Awards also gives prizes for, among others, Documentary, TV Series, TV Film and Best of Technical High Quality. As of this year, Cinematography and Direction will also be honoured with their own awards.


Submission Deadline: 30 June
Eligibility: 1 January 2022 - 20 September 2023
Winner Announcement: End of September


The Nominees will be pre-selected online before the jury convenes in Venice to choose and announce the winners.The award brings national and international recognition for quality content.

The Venice TV Awards are open for production companies, broadcasters, cable networks, online platforms and entities affiliated with the television industry.
