VENICE TV AWARD Announced Winners 2018

Winners revealed in Performing Arts, Documentary and other categories. Masterpieces from 21 countries were rewarded this year at the VENICE TV AWARD.

Two Weeks after the Venice Film Festival, international Jurors met in Venice for the first VENICE TV AWARD, supported by IMZ (International Music + Media Centre), egta and ACT (Association of Commercial TV). Celebrating the masterpieces of TV.

The jury evaluated entries in the categories: Performing Arts, Documentary, Light Entertainment, Program Promotion, Branded Entertainment, Sport, Children/Youth, Comedy, Reality TV, Technical High Quality, Cross-Platform, New Talent, TV Series, TV Film.
Outstanding work from United Kingdom, Germany, India, France, USA, Singapore, Sweden, Italy, Ireland, Czech Republic, Spain, Austria, Lithuania, New Zealand, Croatia, Taiwan, Australia, Norway, Belgium, The Netherlands, South Africa were rewarded.

In Performing Arts a program from France was awarded with the Gold Trophy: France 3’s Carmen produced by Wahoo. Awarded as Nominees were Nijinsky (ARTE/NDR) produced by C Major, Zeffirelli (ORF) from Stanza Media and Tales of Hoffmann (France 2) as well from Wahoo.

The award is seen as a statement that the TV Industry remains active and successful in today’s social media based society.

Among the jurors Malin Häger, TV 4 Sweden, President of egta; Nicola Caligiore, Rai, Vice-Chairman of the TV Committee, European Broadcasting Union; Anke Greifeneder, Director Original Productions, Turner CEE; Rohit Gupta, President, Sony Pictures Network India; André Takada, Vice President Creative Services Fox Network; Igor Tavares, Producer TV Globo Brazil; Barbara Aparo, Art Director, Fashion TV; Ute Biernat, CEO UFA Germany Show and Factual; Sapangeet Rajwant Senior Vice President, Viacom18 Media; Lothaire Burg, Creative Director, ARTE; Nayo Titzin, Producer, Director, Artistic Director, Master of Art Film Festival.
