Brand-new “Magic Moment of Music”: First documentary about Montserrat Caballé after her death.

Two years ago, one of the greatest and most famous sopranos of all time died: Montserrat Caballé was a diva and a star to touch, not only for fans of classical music.

The new episode of the series “Magic Moments of Music” is dedicated to Montserrat Caballé and her unforgettable appearance as Norma in 1974. For this film, her beloved brother and manager Carlos gave his first interview after her death.

On the day of the open-air performance of Vincenzo Bellini's opera, a severe storm is blowing through the city of Orange in southern France. The much-anticipated event may have to be called off at the last moment. All the while, in the spectacular Roman amphitheatre, nine thousand spectators await Montserrat Caballé. In the face of these adverse conditions, the singer and musicians nevertheless decide to perform.

In touching interviews, Zubin Mehta, Sonya Yoncheva, Olga Peretyatko and other eyewitnesses remember this musical event that gripped the whole world and remained unforgettable until today.
