One of opera’s most compelling and thrilling stars showcases her riveting artistry in a special program transmitted live from the breathtaking 18th-century Baroque library of the Schussenried Cloister in southwest Germany. In this performance, audiences can expect some of the repertory’s most beloved soprano arias and the same star power Yoncheva has delivered in recent triumphs on the stage of the Met: Accompanied by pianist Julien Quentin, she presents a program of show-stopping selections from Verdi’s 'Aida' and IL 'Trovatore', Dvořák’s 'Ruskala', Handel’s 'Rinaldo', and Puccini’s 'Madama Butterfly', 'La Bohème', and the rarely performed 'Le Villi'.

"Throughout the recital, Yoncheva showed her increasing maturity as an artist, displaying extraordinary poise in both voice and presence, fully inhabiting each character." (Opera News)

"Sonya Yoncheva showcases her unique voice in a breathtaking performance." (Euronews)
