The Atelier offers the opportunity to festival makers worldwide to share and exchange on best practices and challenges in festival management, different perspectives on artistic programming and relevant topics such as freedom of expression, engaging with migrant communities, festivals' integrity, sustainable management, accessibility and festivals as platforms for innovation and excellence within the arts.

All this food for thought and conversations will be developed in close relation to the context where the Atelier takes place, the Eurometropolis Lille-Kortrijk-Tournai + Valenciennes (BE/FR), the home of our partner, the International Arts Festival NEXT, which you will of course be able to discover as well during the 7 Atelier days, from 13 to 19 November 2019.

Are you eager to exchange ideas with a diverse group of creative minds coming from all over the world, to become part of festival makers community now counting more than 650 festival leaders and to meet up with both emerging and expert festival leaders, cultural activists and artists to critically reflect for 7 days on the role of festivals in today’s world?
