Celebrated worldwide as both a singer and opera director, Brigitte Fassbaender stands at the intersection of tradition and reinvention. Born into an artistic family, she has continually sought her own path, shaping a career defined as much by determination as by talent.

This film offers a rare opportunity to retrace her journey through interviews, memories, and reflections – including, of course, her family and the influence of her upbringing, perhaps even addressing the difficult role her father played during the Nazi era. More than a portrait of her past, it is an intimate look at Brigitte Fassbaender in her element: the artist at work.
