Originally founded by Austrians immigrating to the United States 68 years ago, the Viennese Opera Ball is one of New York City's most prestigious cultural and social traditions, an annual white-tie charity gala that attracts an international audience of diplomats and dignitaries, international corporations and professionals, and New York City's high society.

In keeping with Viennese tradition, this is a debutante ball, opened by daughters of society accompanied by their escorts; performances by Metropolitan opera singers, a renowned orchestra, ballet performances, a four-course sit-down dinner, a midnight Quadrille, a late-night DJ until 2 am, and many more surprises contribute to a glamorous and delightful evening.

This year's edition is inspired by Verdi's opera Aida and will feature performances by top opera stars and Grammy Award winners Lucas Meachem and Leah Crocetto, Limmie Pulliam, Johanna Will, and Christian Pursell.

The charity event will raise funds for music therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in cooperation with Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research!
