And again, IMZ Members seem to be regulars on the list... Have a look at this year’s awardees here. Our hearty congrats go to IMZ Honorary Member Jonas Kaufmann, who won “Bestseller of the Year” with Nessun Dorma – The Puccini Album, and to director Ralf Pleger, whose film The Tchaikovsky Files: Confessions of a Composer was awarded with the ECHO Klassik 2016 in the category “Music DVD/Blu-ray Recording (Documentary)”.
German entertainment star Thomas Gottschalk will host the ECHO Klassik 2016 award ceremony on 9 October at Konzerthaus Berlin. Information on ticket presale to follow shortly...

Great News from IMZ Honorary Member Daniel Barenboim! In September, the Barenboim-Said-Academy in Berlin will open its doors and begin training young musicians from the Middle East, invited here on scholarships, in the spirit of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.
