Virtual Masterclass: Dance Filmmaking with Adi Hal
Director Adi Halfin leads a two-day virtual masterclass on cinematic dance filmmaking, open to industry professionals worldwide.
Director and screenwriter Adi Halfin, whose work has screened at Cannes and Berlinale, brings her practice to a two-day virtual masterclass hosted by Dance Film SF, organizers of the San Francisco Dance Film Festival.
This intensive masterclass is built around Halfin's own approach: guided by intention and intuition, she works at the edge of fiction, documentary, and movement. Over two sessions, participants will watch and discuss a range of dance films (music videos, documentaries, experimental works, commercials) and explore the filmmaking tools that give each its power.
Whether you're a filmmaker, choreographer, or somewhere in between, this is a rare opportunity to study with a prolific, visionary artist. Because it's fully virtual, this masterclass is open to participants anywhere in the world, with session times designed to work for both US and European time zones.
