The open-air Film Festival at the Rathausplatz Vienna is the biggest event of its kind worldwide! It already takes place for the 27th time and presents citizens and tourists with a big variety of the best that music and dance has to offer!
Expect world class performances with Anna Netrebko, Plácido Domingo, Elina Garanca, Juan Diego Florez, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Lang Lang to name but a few.
See the famous conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Dudamel and Sir Simon Rattle with renowned orchestras like the Vienna Philharmonics, the State Opera Orchestra, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and many more.

True to the IMZ mission the festival is open to everybody and free of charge! Just like in past years the programme selection was curated by the IMZ in co-ordination with the festival’s commissioner.
