VBW-productions at the Film Festival at Vienna Rathausplatz 2020
AUG 2020: FIDELIO and I AM FROM AUSTRIA: two Vereinigte Bühnen Wien-productions are on the schedule for August/September 2020.
On 4 July, the VBW-production of Beethoven’s only opera FIDELIO was presented as the opening movie of the Film Festival at Vienna Rathausplatz 2020. On 30 August, people have the opportunity to watch this special cooperation of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien, ORF, UNITEL and image director Felix Breisach again. The TV-recording was created during the rehearsals for FIDELIO at the Theater an der Wien. As part of the “Beethoven Year 2020”, the City of Vienna offers the opportunity to experience this top-class production on the big screen in front of the Vienna City Hall.
The musical audience can also look forward to a special highlight: The VBW-hit-musical I AM FROM AUSTRIA by Titus Hoffmann & Christian Struppeck, in the original production by Andreas Gergen from the Raimund Theater with the most popular hits by Rainhard Fendrich will be shown at the Rathausplatz on 1 August and 5 September 2020.
