VBW musical stars in “Wir spielen für Österreich”

Watch VBW musical stars perform beautiful musical ballads on the ORF-TVthek until 10 May or rebroadcast on 16 May on 3Sat.

On 3 May 2020, VBW musical stars presented the most beautiful musical ballads live from the ORF RadioKulturhaus as part of the ORF III cultural initiative “Wir spielen für Österreich”. During this currently very difficult time, the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien want to make a cultural contribution and bring the most emotional musical moments home to the audience. VBW musical stars Thomas Borchert, Carin Filipčić, Maya Hakvoort, Dominik Hees, Milica Jovanovič, Oedo Kuipers, Lukas Perman, Drew Sarich and Mark Seibert performed the most beautiful songs from VBW's In-house productions such as ELISABETH or DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES on this special concert evening.

On 16 May at 20:15, the concert will be rebroadcasted on 3sat.

After the big concert, ORF III broadcasted the VBW hit-musical I AM FROM AUSTRIA with darlings of the audience such as Iréna Flury, Lukas Perman, Elisabeth Engstler or Andreas Steppan in the main parts. The musical by Titus Hoffmann and Christian Struppeck with hits by Rainhard Fendrich has won the hearts of the audience since its world premiere in September 2017. After two almost sold-out seasons in Vienna, the show celebrated its premiere in Japan in October 2019. The show counts three-quarters of a million visitors worldwide.
