The Bregenz Festival on-demand on fidelio
Unfortunately, the Bregenz Festival has been canceled this year. However, you can watch selected highlights on fidelio.
The Bregenz Festival is a cultural festival that takes place annually in July and August in Bregenz, Austria.
The attraction for a large number of visitors is especially the play on the lake on the world’s largest lake stage. The festival is known for the beauty of the natural backdrop of Lake Constance, oversized stage sets, technical cabinet pieces, and unique acoustics achieved by the technique of Bregenz directional hearing. The house orchestra of the festival is the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
In 2020, the festival was canceled due to COVID-19. On fidelio you can stream selected highlights of the festival, such as last year’s masterpiece “Rigoletto” and “Don Quichotte”, “Carmen” from 2018 or lesser-known yet brilliant operas such as Larcher’s “Das Jagdgewehr” or Goldschmidt’s “Beatrice Cenci”.
