67th Viennese Opera Ball
12 May, 2023, The Plaza, New York, NY
Originally founded by Austrians immigrating to the United States 67 years ago, The Viennese Opera Ball is one of New York City’s most prestigious cultural and social traditions, an annual white-tie charity gala that draws an international audience of diplomats and dignitaries, international corporations and professionals, and New York City's high-society.
In keeping with Viennese tradition, is a debutante ball, opened by daughters of the society accompanied by their escorts; performances by Metropolitan opera singers, a renowned orchestra, ballet performances, a 4-course sit-down dinner, a midnight Quadrille, late-night DJ until 3am and many more surprises contribute to a glamorous and delightful night.
This year’s edition has the motto “A Night inspired by ‘Carmen’” and will feature performances by top opera stars Stephen Costello, Joyce El-Khoury, Nathalie Peña-Comas and Johanna Will, raising funds for the music therapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in cooperation with Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research!
