Tchaikovsky's Pathétique now on Vinyl
Berliner Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko release their interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique on LP.
The international critics were full of exuberant praise when the Berliner Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko released their interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique on CD this summer. Le Figaro described its “breathtaking synthesis of intellect and feeling”, while the Sunday Times wrote: “His attention to the detail of the score and his feel for the emotional twists and turns of the composer’s angst-ridden last months rank with the greatest committed to disc.”
This first recording of the Berliner Philharmoniker with their new chief conductor is also now available on LP, including a lavishly designed slipcase and a comprehensive booklet. This exclusive collector’s edition is limited to 2019 copies corresponding to the year of its release.
