TANZRAUSCHEN SCREEN DANCE ADACEMY #2
German premiere of POWER. The mAPs short film collection with exhibitions, concert, workshops, get-together, masterclass, thinking lab and family programme in partnership with CoWerk18 Tanz Station - Barmer Bahnhof.
In the last 3 years, TANZRAUSCHEN has been working together with partners in Europe on the theme of POWER in the unique dance film laboratory: mAPs - migrating Artists Project, supported by Creative Europe. Together we lived Europe and democracy in France, Greece, Finland, Italy and Germany in times of pandemic. In a collective mentoring, production and research process, we tried to experience and find new artistic practices and stories in dance film production. Using the mythical bird "Phoenix", we will trace this process for three days in Wuppertal (Germany) and reflect on the relationship between power and transformation, between us and Europe - in a world that longs for freedom and change.
Partners of the mAPs - migrating Artists Project: DAN.CIN.LAB / France, COORPI / Italy, MALAKTA / Finland, MØZ / Greece, TANZRAUSCHEN / Germany
Phoenix never dies is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Cultural Office of the City of Wuppertal, Postboutique Hotel Wuppertal, Barmenia and Creative Europe.
