Surma Military Music Festival, concert TV version
Famous Ukrainian singers and bands participated in this concert. Among them Khoreya Kozatska, Ot vinta, Telnyuk sisters, Oleg Pavlyshyn and others.
The concert programme started by the Kleynody marching drums ensemble of the Honor Guard orchestra of Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky Separate Presidential Brigade. The incendiary rhythms of the drums set the tone for the entire evening.
Historical military songs with modern arrangement were presented by Taras Kompanichenko and Khoreya Kozatska band, Svyatovyd folk group, the Honored Academic Exemplary Orchestra of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Khrystyna Panasiuk.
Serhij Vasyliuk, Oleg Pavlyshyn, Maria Kvitka, Taras Borovok, Yurii Horodetskyi, Yuriy Suslo, and Volodymyr Kiyashko performed their own compositions. The variety of genres is impressive! In addition to the usual musical instruments - guitar, drums or pipe - even weapons played! Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Oleksandr Selezniov demonstrated live how Javelin, Stinger and AK-47 can be a basis of modern rhythms.
The musical evening was hosted by the Voice of the Maidan, former Minister of Culture, Chairman of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize Committee Yevhen Nyshchuk. The performances were accompanied by a demonstration of documentary photos from the Museum's collection on the history of the First and Second Liberation Movements and the ongoing war.
