Summer farewell by Minería - season closure
Minería’s Philharmonic presents its 8th and final concert of the season after a series of successful programs in a world-class venue.
The marvelous Israeli violinist Vadim Gluzman takes on the exciting challenge posed by composer and orchestra director Max Bruch as he interprets his first violin concerto, a work that has been acclaimed as one of the greatest jewels of classical music. Through three enchanting movements, Gluzman will take us on a sonic journey where technique merges with emotion, turning each note into a profound expression. With the accompaniment of Joseph Joachim (German orchestra director and violinist), Bruch transports us to a world of wonders, where romanticism shines in all its splendor, enveloping us in a dreamy atmosphere.
This captivating recital is followed by the incomparable seventh symphony of Gustav Mahler, also known as The Song of the Night. This work, rich in textures and nuances, is filled with references to magical nights, such as the one that inspired the second movement, where Mahler found his muse in the famous painting Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog. This connection between visual art and music is a testament to Mahler’s deep understanding of the human experience and the beauty found in the night.
Allow yourself to be carried through Bruch's nocturnal music and the grandeur of Mahler, guided by the best available accompaniment on this musical journey that promises to be unforgettable. With each performance, Gluzman and the orchestra invite you to explore deep emotions, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those attending the event.
