Piano enthusiasts are in for a treat as Martha Argerich, Yuja Wang, Daniil Trifonov, Mitsuko Uchida and Yefim Bronfman return to the Berliner Philharmoniker for the 2026/27 season, while two emerging artists – Alexander Malofeev and Yunchan Lim – make their debut. Also featured this season are luminaries of the world stage such as Yo-Yo Ma and Pinchas Zukerman, Isabelle Faust, Klaus Mäkelä and Christian Gerhaher, as well as conducting debuts from Elim Chan and Brett Dean, who is also the orchestra’s Composer in Residence.

To start off the season, Kirill Petrenko presents Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” and Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony. Other season highlights featuring the chief conductor include Wagner’s “Die Walküre”, Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel” and Beethoven’s “Missa solemnis”.
