Author: Universität Mozarteum Salzburg

With digital visualizations of Mozart compositions, Spot On MozART devotes its final year to the question: What happens when projects and audiences meet?

In 2023, the interdisciplinary and inter-institutional project Spot On MozART will come to a close after three years. For the last time, the project participants will address the question: What do you see when you hear? - a visual exploration of hearing and thus a (new) understanding of the music of Wolfgang A. Mozart in the 21st century with the creative use of digital technology.

In cooperation with other Austrian universities and institutions, such as the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the University of Television and Film Munich, the Research Studios Austria, the Salzburg University Conference and the Red Bull Media House, a variety of projects have been developed and implemented.
All projects fulfill not only the areas of music, visualization, innovation and spot on, but also a research aspect.

In its final year, the project is entirely dedicated to the "Spot On" moment: analog and digital media, festivals, conferences, fairs - the "Spot On" moment deals with the presentation and positioning of the projects in public space. What happens when projects and audience meet? An experimental field, a challenge and a research moment.
According to the individual project contents, the more than 20 projects are shown individually at various occasions in and outside of Austria. For example at the Film Festival at the Rathausplatz in Vienna, at the 20th In The Palace Short Film Festival in Pernik (Bulgaria), at the Leipziger Buchmesse or also at the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz.
