Stefan Mickisch is an exceptional pianist, music analyst as well as a shrewd and accomplished rhetorician. His gift of not only playing music of all styles from Bach to modernity but also explaining its structures and mechanisms with clarity, competence, humor and universal insight, made him the market leader of a new form of concert. His moderated piano recitals are now legendary throughout the German-speaking world.
It is not far from Beethoven to Wagner: Wagner’s lifelong commitment to the composer he admired has long been reflected not only in his novella “A Pilgrimage to Beethoven”, written in 1840. Stefan Mickisch will impress the audience with background information on keys and zodiac signs in Beethoven and Wagner.

On 11 July you can hear Stefan Mickisch talk about keys and signs of the zodiac in Beethoven and Wagner live from the Festwochen Gmunden.
