SFDFF 2025 presents 'Tiler Peck: Suspending Time'
SFDFF 2025 returns 24 Oct - 9 Nov. Opening Night: world premiere of 'Tiler Peck: Suspending Time'. Full lineup announced 10 Sept.
The San Francisco Dance Film Festival returns this fall! From 24 October through 9 November, SFDFF lights up theater screens across San Francisco with 18 programs that celebrate dance in all its forms — intimate documentaries, bold screendance, vibrant music videos, and more. Virtual programming will be available for international audiences unable to attend in person.
We’re thrilled to announce our opening night program: the world premiere of Tiler Peck: Suspending Time. Directed by Alex Ramsey, this documentary offers an intimate six-year journey with one of ballet’s most celebrated artists. Facing injury, loss, and reinvention, New York City Ballet prima ballerina Tiler Peck redefines her legacy, not just as a dancer, but as a visionary choreographer. The film features original work by Peck alongside choreography from Alonzo King, William Forsythe, George Balanchine, and Christopher Wheeldon. The film is produced in association with Dance Film SF, as part of its mission to support dance film.
Following the screening, audiences will join Peck, Ramsey, and producers Eric Cook and Garen Scribner for a Q&A and VIP reception.
The complete 2025 San Francisco Dance Film Festival lineup will be announced on 10 September, when tickets also go on sale. Mark your calendar and get ready for two weeks of powerful storytelling through dance.
