The series presents the lives of people from all around the world that are currently living as refugees, migrants and exiles in Brazil.
Mediated by music - a cultural expression that knows no borders and brings people together, breaking barriers of language, race, class and nationality - this 10-episodes series present a different artist or band from different regions of the planet as the protagonist of each programme.
Sons do Refugio (Refuge Sounds) addresses issues such as trauma, displacement, hostility, prejudice, hospitality and welcoming under a strong humanist connotation, so important a value in Sesc's worldview.
