Exciting News from MusikTheater an der Wien! We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new season 24/25, filled with extraordinary performances and special events.
Join us for the season opener, Combattimenti, premiering on 27 September, 2024, at the Kammeroper. Directed by Olivier Fredj and featuring lutenist and conductor David Bergmüller, this innovative musical theatre project brings Claudio Monteverdi’s gripping work to life.
On 12 October, 2024, celebrate the grand reopening with a special Festakt at 11:00, featuring Beethoven’s Fantasy and Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus overture.
Don’t miss the premiere of Mozart’s Idomeneo at 19:00, marking a triumphant return to our newly refurbished home.
We are also excited to invite you to our Open House on 19 October, 2024, from 11:00 to 17:00. Explore the renovated Theater an der Wien, go behind the scenes, experience our new stage technology, and enjoy a special concert where everyone can join in the singing at the MusikTheater an der Wien.
Single tickets for the entire 24/25 season are now available, which can be purchased online, by phone at +43 (0)1 58885-111, or at the box offices of Theater an der Wien located at Linke Wienzeile 6, 1060 Vienna, and the Wien Ticket Pavilion next to the Vienna State Opera. Please note that our box office at Theater an der Wien is closed for summer break from 30 June to 25 August, 2024.
