On 24 February, the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Suspilne Kultura aired a concert by the Academic Choir of Ukrainian Radio.
On 24 February, the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Suspilne Kultura TV channel aired a concert by the P. Maiboroda Academic Choir of Ukrainian Radio conducted by Yuliia Tkach. The concert featured compositions by Yurii Alzhniev to the words of Taras Shevchenko, as well as Ukrainian classics by Borys Lyatoshynsky and Stanislav Liudkevych. They are a retrospective of the tragic and bright, heroic and victorious pages of Ukraine's history.
The P. Maiboroda Academic Choir of Ukrainian Radio is one of the most reputable leading choirs in Ukraine and Europe. For almost 85 years of active creative activity, it has performed several thousand concerts, made many live broadcasts on radio and television, and created more than 10 thousand stock recordings, including music for films - scientific, fiction, documentary and animated films.
The choir's mission is to raise the general cultural level of the country, popularize national and world choral culture among a wide audience of Ukrainian and foreign citizens.
