Based on Albrechts‘ conviction that people should understand the music and comprehend the composers‘ ideas, he developed his analytical educational concerts. In cooperation with the Sender Freies Berlin (SFB) and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin the TV series “Wege zur Neuen Musik” (Paths to New Music) was established, which has been relaunched in the years 2010–2012 in cooperation with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin. Contemporary composers would get a chance to speak, talk about their creations, the way they work and their musical concerns. This edition combines six conversation concerts conducted by Gerd Albrecht.
