Mischa and Lily Maisky come together for a highly-anticipated concert in the Seoul Arts Center. The recital represents an important major step on the cellist's recovery after major illness, with a programme especially designed to celebrate 20 years since he and his daughter first performed together. The first half – including Beethoven’s playful Bei Männern Variations and Bruch's heartfelt Kol Nidrei – features works that they played in that first concert 20 years ago; the second half showcases music by Brahms and Schumann, from the heart of German Romanticism, that they perform together for the first time. A special programme, then, for what promises to be a moving celebration of a remarkable musical partnership.
