Mehlspeis' of the day: Kaiserschmarrn

The Schmarrn. The myth. The legend. Emperor Franz Joseph’s favourite dessert. And the name speaks for itself: ‘Kaiser’ translates to ‘emperor’, ‘Schmarrn’ means ‘rubbish’. But the soft, fluffy pancake, ripped into bites, slightly roasted in a pan and traditionally served with raisins and powdered sugar, is everything but rubbish!
