Giovanni Antonini and his ensemble Il Giardino Armonico take on Haydn’s groundbreaking oratorio “The Creation”. The concert promises to be very special for two reasons. First, because Antonini and his orchestra have dedicated the last few years to an extensive engagement with Haydn’s music. Under the title “Haydn 2032” – in honor of the composer’s 300th birthday – they are engaged in a project to record all of his symphonies with their fresh, historically informed tone. And second, because they are joined by the wonderful Bavarian Radio Choir, as well as a select cast of soloists familiar to regular takt1 listeners (Anna Lucia Richter, Florian Boesch and Maximilian Schmitt).

Tune in for the live stream on 14 May at 19:30. All takt1 live streams are available as video on demand after the concerts.
