“Le Nozze di Figaro” live from Theater an der Wien
Theater an der Wien production “Le Nozze di Figaro” directed by Alfred Dorfer is now available on the streaming plattform fidelio!
Mozart’s masterpiece “Le nozze di Figaro” should have opened on November 12th at the Theater an der Wien. Unfortunally due to the current Corona-situation the production can’t be performed live in front of an audience.
Luckily the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien were able to realize a TV broadcast on ORF III - therefore opera lovers have the possibility to join the performance of “Le Nozze di Figaro” on TV - broadcasted live from the Theater an der Wien on November 29th at 8.15pm in “Erlebnis Bühne - Wir spielen für Österreich”. People are also very welcome to watch the opera-evening at the same time on www.myfidelio.at
The production will be available at the classic-plattform fidelio throughout the next year! Don't miss out on this oppertunity!
The satirist and actor Alfred Dorfer makes his debut as an opera director at the Theater an der Wien alongside Kateryna Sokolova. Artist in residence Florian Boesch as Count Almaviva heads an illustrious cast of singers: Cristina Pasaroiu, Giulia Semenzato, Robert Gleadow, Patricia Nolz and Enkelejda Shkosa as well as the Arnold Schoenberg Choir (Chorus Master: Erwin Ortner). The ensemble is musically accompanied by the Concentus Musicus Wien, conducted by Stefan Gottfried.
