Julia Fischer joins Iván Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra for Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Brahms’s Symphony No. 2.

Filmed in June 2026 at the Kissinger Sommer, this concert brings together violinist Julia Fischer, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Iván Fischer for two monumental works of the Austro-German repertoire, both in the radiant key of D major. Beethoven’s lyrical Violin Concerto, composed in 1806, is paired with Brahms’s warm and sunlit Symphony No. 2, written during the summer of 1877.
