iTunes:
The brandnew Karajan iPad App
Experience the life and work of the most legendary conductor, Herbert von Karajan, in the new Karajan iPad app.
The Karajan iPad app offers more the 2000 recordings and over 3400 concerts of Herbert von Karajan to explore. The maestro interpreted more than 750 works during his professional life. It offers a kaleidoscope of classical music - from Bach to Henze, from Handel to Schoenberg. "Those who have achieved all their aims probably set them too low". Following his life motto he left us an unbelievably broad oeuvre to discover. The iPad aims at making it accessible by organising information on all the works, composers, orchestras, artists, places and events relevant to Herbert von Karajan on infocards. Infocards are located in place and time - on an interactive map and on an innovative timeline. The app functionality was made possible by the development of a revolutionary new data model and a search algorithm specifically tailored to classical music.
The iPad App is available in German in the Itunes Stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Eliette and Herbert von Karajan Institute is currently working on a release for iPad in English.
