In the Tracks of Mark Isham
The film music series "In the Tracks of..." continues with a profile of Mark Isham who composed the scores for films such as "A River Runs Through it".
Pioneering icon of electronic music and nowadays legendary film composer Mark Isham invites filmmaker Pascale Cuenot to share some of the most creative moments of his career. Playing the trumpet, improvising on keyboard and recording music for films as well as albums Isham demonstrates his numerous talents and shows. As Jodie Foster puts it, he is the calmest guy in the room. She is joined by film director Kathryn Bigelow, the only woman with an Oscar for “Best Director”, film directors Carroll Ballard and Frank Darabont, rock drummer Pete van Hooke as well as singer-songwriter Tanita Tikaram and Donna Isham in a profile which is rounded off with clips of “Point Break”, “Nell”, “The Mist”, “A River Runs Through It”, “The Accountant” and early seasons of the television series “Once Upon a Time”.
